Hi there-
This New Year’s Eve celebration promises to be very special. Javybz crew is back to town for the All Styles All Smiles party with a guest we’ve been waiting to get for quite some time!
Native New York DJ Love On The Run has been DJ’ing and record collecting since the early 90s. On any given night he can be heard playing cuts from his deep collection of vintage vinyl, which spans 7″ Soul to Afro-Caribbean Boogie, Punk Funk, Disco 12″s and more. Cutting his teeth in the nightlife for nearly 20 years, LOTR has worked in record stores, distributers, spinning and promoting parties, such as his mid 90s residency at the Sunday night event in the lower east side of Manhattan called Hot Fudge Sundays attracting local party people and filling two floors of underground music every week. Beyond the smaller rooms he likes to play, LOTR has also DJ’d larger venues in NYC over the years, most notably the Bohemian Garden BBQ party playing along side Danny Krivit with a crowd boasting 1,000 people in attendance. Still passionate as ever about the music scene in NYC, LOTR can currently be found DJ’ing various one-offs around NYC, or one of his own parties he has been organizing over the years, from Brooklyn’s Foreal People, to Puddin’ at the now defunct legendary NYC venue APT, and his current bi-weekly rare groove night in the lower east side Love Fixation.
For this particular night Richie wants to bring “that Love Fixation vibe, play songs about love, the human experience, bring positive messages, songs about partying, both fast tempos and slow jams, funky basslines, neck snapping drums, epic horns, basically want to bring that universal energy that only great music can bring so we can all hit that moment of “TOGETHERNESS”!”

Blu Jemz is not your ordinary DJ & Producer, he’s versatile and known for playing raw shit and making the party jump off whether it’s bottle poppers, guys in their girlfriend’s jeans, or straight beat heads. Blu Jemz started buying records at the age of 14 and has been djing out professionally for 5+ years now. One of the major parties he has been involved with in NYC was Authentic Shit in 2004 along-side Mark Ronson and Q-Tip. Mark and Blu Jemz took the name and started the hugely popular Authentic Shit Radio on East Village Radio, which he still hosts during his monthly trips to NY. Around the same time the taste making snobs at Turntable Lab released his infamous and influential debut mix CD Blu Jemz & Roger Yamaha are Second Cousins: Rush. That CD was responsible for his tour across America, Europe and Japan and is currently being reissued, now four years later, by Urban Outfitters UK. When Blu Jemz moved to LA two years ago he immediately found open arms with residencies in the city’s most notorious A-List spots including Teddy’s and Winston’s, as well as the best of it’s thriving underground culture. He gained recognition and a cult following for having great skills, personality, and always getting the party started — from downtown loft parties to the Hollywood, celeb-infested parties. Today he spends most of his time traveling with residencies in LA, NYC, as well as various parties and special events world-wide.
AS A PRODUCER, AND SIGNED BY MONEY STUDIES (TURNTABLE LAB’S RECORD LABEL) HIS SOUND CAN BE HEARD ON REMIXES HE’S DONE FOR SPANK ROCK, PREFUSE 73, BARON ZEN (STONES THROW) NACHO LOVERS (FOOL’S GOLD) AND AMP LIVE (ZION I). HIS ORIGINAL VOCAL STYLING CAN BE HEARD ON RELEASES FROM HIS GROUP DA HARDY BOYZ AND THE UNDERGROUND ELECTRO HIT “OPEN”, BY THE DUB PISTOLS, WHICH WAS RECENTLY LICENSED FOR USE ON THE LATEST VERSION OF DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION. MORE ORIGINAL MATERIAL OF HIS CAN BE TRACKED DOWN ON VARIOUS COMPILATIONS FLOATING AROUND AS HE WORKS ON COMPLETING A FULL-LENGTH PROJECT DUE OUT ON THE MONEY STUDIES IMPRINT THIS FALL.
